Hector
was born on May 21, 1962 and raised in the Sacramento Delta near Courtland and
Clarksburg in California. Hector now resides in Elk Grove, California.
Much
of Hectors ability has been self-taught, spending hours refining his art with
paper, pen and sweat. Through his determination, he has been able to transfer
his talents onto canvas and oils. Through
his work, he presents an exploration of an inner hidden world set against images
and reflections of an illusory outer world. Hectors body of work consists of oil
paintings and color marker images. His subject matter varies and appears largely
symbolic. Much of Espinoza's work is narrative. Exploring themes and concepts
is central to his style. The imagery includes cultural and ethnic representations
as well as emotional, philosophical and state-of-mind vignettes. |
